Mushroom Melt on Rye bread is one of my favorite things to fix and eat. It's really simple to make and the end results are magnificent!
Ingredients:
Rye bread
Italian tofu (i like twin oaks)
mushrooms, fresh
onions, fresh
swiss or provolone cheese
braggs aminos
olive oil
large skillet
caramelize onions and mushrooms. Spray Braggs Aminos maybe 6-7 sprays on top of mushrooms and onions and stir in. Once the onions and mushrooms are caramelized, put it into a separate container. Pour a small amount of Olive Oil into a hot skillet, 1Tab. Brush a small amount of olive oil onto one side of the rye bread and place olive oil side down in the skillet. Cut two thin layers of tofu and place onto rye bread. Tablespoon out desired amount of mushroom and onions on top of the tofu. Spray 1-3 sprays of braggs on top of onions and mushrooms. Place cheese on top then brush another piece of rye bread with olive oil and place olive oil side up on top of the cheese. Brown both side of the bread or until cheese has melted. Your done! Enjoy!
