About Us: In 1995, Christy was in the process of getting her LPN degree and helping her mother who owns and operates, "Sue's SuperNutrition", a local health food store in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Christy's mom, Sue taught her since birth to use herbs and vitamins, alternative medicine instead of traditional medicine.  Realizing that LPN school was not for her, Christy started working full time as manager at her mother's health food store.

In 1997, Christy devoted relentless hours learning about herbs, contraindications with traditional medicine and herbal medicine. Herbal Medicine and growing herbs became her passion so she decided to take a journey and get her Naturopathic Doctorate degree in Alternative Medicine. First she started with an "Herbal Apprenticeship" program with Dr. Lynn Schwartzman, a more in depth and hands on teaching. That started a fire under Christy and she became very interested in making salves, oils, and tonics for her clients. Little did she know that at that very moment, it was the birth of "Taylor Made Herbs and Aromatherapy".

After finishing her Naturopathic Doctorate degree, Christy's practice was in full swing and so was "Taylor Made". From salves and therapeutic oils to specialized natural organic facial care. Between her clients and customers at Sue's over the counter creams and salves was not getting the job done on topical skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, arthritis, wound healing, acne rosacea, and facial care. With her extensive research in herbs and essential oils, Christy gathered all her knowledge and hit the kitchen to make quality therapeutic skin care products that would do what the label said it can do!. Too many customers complained that the other company didn't have this herb or that essential oil in it. Or why don't they make something for this? Do they honestly use a large amount of this ingredient in this product to make it therapeutic since it's the last ingredient on the list? The wording on the package or about the product was over estimating the inside formulation. Why am I paying so much money for then packaging compared to the product?

Christy's kitchen been busy everyday since then because her formulations helped numerous clients from wound healing, bug bites, psoriasis, eczema, acne, MRSA, Staph, neuropathy, carpel tunnel, arthritis, rosacea, and the list goes on and on. Until 2006, Taylor Made Organics was only sold to Christy's clients and local health food stores. After extensive research on how to develop a website her husband, Travis and Christy heard the calling from God to start an online store to help not only local customers but around the world, physically and spiritually. They made a commitment to serve the Lord not only in their personal life, but with Taylor Made Organics, GIVING 10% of it's first fruits back to the Lord. Taylor Made Organics uses every opportunity to teach anyone who has an ear, the "True Gospel". In 2009, Travis and Christy moved their business from their home to a physical building "The Shop". Let's just say everyone was happy! We utilize every bit of space in out new shop. Environmentally friendly from the paint to the heating system. It won't be long and before we will have to expand yet again.
